Surface Mount Technology

Surface Mount Technology, or SMT, is a method for constructing electronic circuits in which surface mounted components are mounted directly onto the surface of printed circuit boards (PCBs). The SMT method has largely replaced thru-hole technology, a method of fitting components with wire leads into holes in the circuit board.

BGS has 3 Automated Surface Mount lines capable of 28,000 placements per hour. We can assemble with speed and accuracy, and place parts as small as 1005 as well as BGA, FBGA, QFP, QFN and DFN components.

Thru-hole technology

Thru-hole technology refers to the mounting of electronic components with leads that are inserted into pre drilled holes in the Printed Circuit Board (PCB). The leads are then soldered to pads on the opposite side either by manual assembly or by the use of automated soldering machines.

BGS has the knowledge and capabilities to handle, form and prepare any axial, radial or IC components. They can be soldered manually or through our automated processes with precision.

Cable Assembly & Wire Harness

BGS offers wire harnesses for unique applications. Our various automated wire processing and termination equipment ensure consistent quality, cost effective products and shorter lead times.

Our capabilities include harnesses from a few inches long with simple terminals to several feet long with a variety of fast-on/ quick disconnects, multi-pin connectors, terminal blocks and other specialty connectors.

Top Level Box Build

A Box Build Assembly refers to the complete assembly of a finished product. Assembly of boxes typically includes drilling for conduit fittings, assembly and mounting of terminal blocks, fuses and printed-circuit boards, and termination and installation of connectors for internal wiring systems.

Our 20,000 Sq. Ft. facility enables us to offer complete Box Builds. Our PCB assembly services do not just stop at Quick turnaround PCB assembly and volume production. We offer conformal coating of any PCB assemblies and installation of your PCB and wiring into final box-builds as well as testing to customer specifications.
